Advantage Tactile, already well known as the ultimate solution for tactile systems, has upped the ante by unveiling a replaceable design at the World of Concrete show this week in Las Vegas.
The stainless steel product is the most durable tactile system on the market. Advantage Tactile can withstand extreme abuse from show shovels and other heavy equipment, while offering a texturized surface for superior anti-slip resistance. The new replaceable product offers the longest-lasting tactile surface and the option of replaceability just in case a tile was ever damaged.

The new design comes in response to consumer demand for a replaceable product. "We're listening to our customers," says Mark Heimlich, West Coast Operations Manager for Advantage Tactile. "Contractors are looking for a product that is durable and can be replaced easily." Customer response at the World of Concrete show has been very positive, with many people stopping by Advantage Tactile's outdoor booth to see the new product.
Advantage Tactile replaceable is the ultimate solution for situations where the tile could potentially be damaged, such as extremely high volume of vehicular traffic. These new tiles can be replaced at any time without having to destroy the concrete structure supporting them. "Advantage Tactile replaceable provides the owner with the option of quickly changing out a damaged tile at minimal cost," says John Heffner, Advantage Tactile Sales Representative for the Pacific Central region.
All you have to do is remove the metal domed fasteners using an appropriate socket and fitting, remove the existing tile, insert the new unit in place, and tighten it down to the surface by fastening it to the permanent concrete anchors. The replaceable tiles are guaranteed to fit in any same sized Advantage Tactile replacement situation.
"Previously, replacing a cast in place tile could eat up thousands of dollars in material and labor costs to rebuild the structure and replace the tile," explains Heimlich. "Now, it just takes one guy, a drill, and a new Advantage Tile to get the job done."
