Detectable warning snow plow resistant tiles by Advantage Tactile Systems was back in a big way at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas in January. Our industry leading detectable warning systems were showcased indoors and outdoors at 3 booths to exhibit actual installations in concrete curb ramps.
The Advantage stainless steel tiles are designed for areas using snow plows and other environments of heavy abuse like loading docks. In addition to the established cast in place system for new concrete construction, two new products were unveiled to meet the different requirements of our customers across the country.
Not only are the detectable warning snow plow resistant tiles the strongest truncated domes, the new surface applied tile can be retrofitted to existing concrete and is the most durable system of this type available. Another new product is a replaceable thin paver system for new construction.
There was great response to Advantage and the composite Armor-Tile which is the most widely used detectable warning system over the past 15 years. Armor-Tile displayed its entire product line including cast in place and surface applied systems, directional tiles and guidance tiles in many colors and configurations. No fewer than 18 technical representatives were on hand to answer questions and set up training seminars and installation of the detectable warning snow plow resistant tile demonstrations throughout the country at no charge. Hopefully you didn't miss out on the free hats and flash drives and we'll look forward to seeing you there next year! |
